Our Beliefs

The word of God
We believe that the Holy Bible is God’s Word, that it was written by men divinely inspired, and that it is inerrant in the original writings. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice (II Tim 3: 16-17; II Pet 1:21).

The trinity
We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; they are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption (Gen 1:26; Deut 6:4, Matt 3: 16-17; 28:19).

God the father
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, power and love. We rejoice that He concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Jn 16:23-27; Gal 4:4-6; Eph 1:3; 17-23).

Jesus christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s one and only Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe further that He is true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We also believe in: His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, future, and visible return to the world from heaven according to His promise (Matt 1:18-23, Lk 24:1-8; Jn 1:1,14; Acts 1:11; II Cor 5:19-21; I Tim 2:5; Heb 4:14-16; 7:24-25; I Jn 2:1; Rev. 19-20).

Holy spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God to convict the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that He indwells, baptizes, fills, heals physically, mentally and spiritually, seals, guides, instructs, and gives spiritual gifts to those who believe (Matt 28:19; Jn 16:8; Acts 1:8; 5:3-4; 1 Cor 6:11; 19; 12:4-13; Eph 1:13, 14; 3:16; 4:1-16).

Humanity
We believe that God created humanity, male and female, in the image of God and originally free from sin. We further believe that all people are by nature, and by choice, sinners and therefore spiritually dead. We believe that every human being is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith (Gen 1:26-27; 2:7-3: 19; Rom 3:9-23; Eph 2:1-3).

Salvation
We believe that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. We believe, therefore, that those who accept Christ as Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God’s presence and those who refuse to accept Christ as personal Lord and Savior will be forever separated from God. We further believe that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We further believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social, moral, and ethical concerns as stated in James 1:27 (Jn 1:12; 3:3-7, 16-18; 5:24; Eph 2:8-10).

The church
We believe that the church is the living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all regenerated people are members. We believe that a local church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, whose members have been baptized, upon a credible confession of faith, and have associated themselves for worship, instruction, fellowship, evangelism, and service. God has laid upon the church the task of proclaiming to a lost world the salvation through Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe all human betterment is the result of the Gospel (Acts 2:41; 15:13-17; I Cor 12: 12-13).

Christian conduct
We believe that the supreme task of every believer is to glorify God in his or her life; that he or she’s conduct should be blameless before the world; and should be a faithful steward of his and her possessions and should seek to realize for one’s self Christ-like character (1 Cor 10:3 1; Col 1:28; I Pet 1:14-15; Romans 12:1-2).

Last things
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, the eternal existence of all people either in heaven or hell, in divine judgments, rewards and punishments (Jn 5:29; I Cor 3:11-15; 15:51-58; II Cor 5:6-10; I Thes 4: 13-18; II Jn 8; Rev 19-20).
